Nils Vleugels' comedic work is known for it's dry-ness and is frequently referred to as cringeworthy. His films stand out with a refreshingly positive and honest view of the world surrounding him. Often having an indie-movie quality, they tend to be character driven, painstakingly truthful and packed with narrative.

Nils shot to recognition with his semi-autobiographical short films Weëen (Gouden Kalf Nominatie) and Hellingproef. Recentely Nils wrote and directed the hugely popular Dutch webseries Kramp - of which the pilot episode has so far received over 8M views. Currently Nils is working on his first longform film, alongside developing several new (web)series.
