Nils Vleugels' comedy work is known for it's dry-wit and is often referred to as cringeworthy. His films stand out with a refreshingly positive view of the world surrounding him. Often possessing an indie-movie quality, they tend to be character driven, painstakingly truthful and packed with narrative.

Nils shot to recognition with his shorts Hellingproef and the semi-autobiographical Weeën (Gouden Kalf Nominatie). Recently Nils wrote and directed the popular Dutch webseries Kramp - of which the pilot episode has so far received over 10M views. Currently Nils is working on his first longform film, alongside developing several new (web)series.
